Hi everyone — I’m Helina, your Community Manager here at Captura, and I’m genuinely so excited to be building this space with you 😄). A little about me: I'm a proud Ohio State Buckeye 🏈 (yes, I will bring this up during football season) and a former practicing attorney — University of Wisconsin — who made a very intentional pivot into community building… and never looked back. I’ve been happily nerding out over communities for more than 14 years now at brands like Adidas, Yelp, Intel, Swimply, and Sephora , always focused on building real connection (not noise or fluff). I’m currently based in Los Angeles, but I spent a lot of time in Dallas before that — it’s a long story, but let’s just say I’m comfortable in both traffic and heat 😅. What I love most is shaping communities around worlds I actually care about. Captura really hits that sweet spot for me — their products bring ease and simplicity to complex businesses and helps studios thrive and scale without losing their minds. Being part of something that genuinely empowers creative, driven people to do what they love is something I’m really proud of. So what’s my role here, really? At Captura, my job sits at the intersection of customer advocacy and community. In simple terms: I’m here to make sure your voices are heard — and to be a fierce advocate for you internally — while also making sure this community is more than just a forum. I’m here to: Create a space where you can learn from each other, not just from us Surface real feedback, patterns, and pain points from customers Advocate for you internally so insights don’t get lost Help connect you to the right resources, people, or conversations And make sure this community stays practical, respectful of your time, and actually useful This is very much a two-way street. The more you share — what’s working, what’s frustrating, what you wish existed — the better I can advocate on your behalf and help shape what comes next. I’m especially excited to connect with photographers all over the country who are creative, ambitious, and doing really inspiring work. This community is here to be useful, supportive, and occasionally fun — a place to swap ideas, ask real questions, and learn from each other. So please reach out. Post, comment, DM me, say hi — all of it. I’m here to listen, learn, and help make Captura better with you. So glad you’re here. Can’t wait to get to know you 😊
