Digital Downloads of Class Photos & Team Photos
What is everyone's company policies on digital downloads of class & team photos? We strictly do not allow it for privacy purposes, but I would like to know what other studios do.
For any studios that do allow it, what is your price point compared to individual downloads, and what do you do about the privacy of the students?

From what we typically see, many studios choose not to offer class or team photos as digital downloads, with privacy being one of the primary concerns.
Once a digital copy of a group image is delivered to a customer, there really isn’t a way to control how that image is shared afterward. A customer could easily forward or distribute the file to other families or individuals pictured in the group. There is also the potential impact on sales, since one purchased digital image could potentially be shared with the entire class or team.
For those reasons, we generally see studios treat group images differently from individual portraits when it comes to digital downloads. I’d also be interested to hear from studios that do offer them and how they approach pricing, privacy, and sharing concerns.
