Make Up Day
In a short summary, how are you currently conducting make ups and retakes of a job? How do you handle marketing and reporting?
What are your biggest pain points in your flow?
If you had a magic wand, what would you create for your make up day workflow?

·3 months agoOur makeup/retakes are the same...the major pain point we would have is solved with Workflow.
We don't tether the main school day but tether in the makeup days so the images are often delivered to the parents email before we even leave the site.
SUPER low retake issues almost always 100% parent mistakes with clothes/hair and these are BUYERS not picky people (they might be picky but the images are important to them.)

·3 months agoTheres a difference between makeups and retakes. Makeup day is just that, a day for kids and staff who have missed to be photographed. Retakes are usually taken in one of our studios to address any deficiencies in the photo.

·3 months agoI would love to be able to shoot tethered using barcodes across multiple jobs on a makeup session.
For example - we set aside Fridays for Sports makeup Sessions for the leagues we have photographed that week as the last opportunity to be included in the team photo. We could have athletes from 5-10 leagues attend a makeup session during our peak sports seasons.
To my knowledge, we are only able to tether to one specific job for the barcode scanner to integrate with the correct child's gallery.
It would be awesome if we could select a group of jobs for the scanner to read from so that we don't have to manually load those images to galleries later.

OP3 months agoThis is really interesting and rational use case. Multi-job sessions. I can see how it would be a pain to switch jobs each time.

·3 months agoWe run not photographed lists for retake day and market to subjects with no images.
It would be nice if there was a way to let the galleries with images remain active while the images that are shot on retake day are not available online. Ultimately a way to have unprocessed galleries inactive while the job is active.
On some schools we go back and shoot cap and gowns and they are included in their original senior galleries, I wish there was a way to run a report on subjects that do not have photos added after a specific date for cap and gown retake days.
Example: Original cap and gown day 3-7, retake day is 4-3. Need to run a report for any subjects that did not have photos added to their galleries on 3-7 and/or after.

OP3 months agoThanks Brandy,
I totally understand the dual tracks. We are looking into solving this.
For your other issue, if I understand correctly, it would be nice to clearly identify session themes under a single job, and then identify subjects who have no photos in that theme?
