Wording for a sign

Get your creative juices flowing this holiday weekend! I need some help for wording on a sign in our studio. We've had an uptick in issues with parents taking pictures of their child - and of the Workflow screen during Capture - when they accompany their seniors to the senior photo session. Part of it is probably our fault, since we've really encouraged parents to attend as part of capturing the memories of the senior year. Sessions are scheduled, and roughly a quarter to a third have a parent along. We have one that says: "Please: No cell phones during Senior Yearbook Session." Obviously that isn't working. In my mind I'd like for the sign to say: "Respect that this is an art form, stop stealing photos, and put your #$*% cell phone away!" So probably somewhere in between - thoughts?!

Are you a Mac user seeing a message that warns, "This version of Workflow will not open in a future release of macOS"?

We've been hearing more and more reports of Mac users, upon updating their OS, receiving a message that warns, "This version of Workflow will not open in a future release of macOS"? Don't worry! Our response is below: To give you the short answer: Workflow will continue to function normally for the foreseeable future , and there is no immediate action required on your part. Here is some context on what is happening behind the scenes: The Situation: Apple has announced that they will eventually end Intel application support on their Apple Silicon chip systems (M1, M2, M3, etc.). The Role of Rosetta: Currently, newer Mac systems rely on a built-in translation program called Rosetta , which allows Intel-based applications like Workflow to run seamlessly on Apple Silicon. The Timeline: Apple plans to deprecate Rosetta in a future version of macOS, meaning Workflow as currently constructed would no longer open once that support officially ends. However, Apple is providing developers with significant advance notice—this change is not expected to take effect until macOS 28 (in the year 2028) . Our development team is already fully aware of this timeline and is actively tracking it. We will ensure that a native Apple Silicon version or a compatible solution is in place well before Apple retires Rosetta so that your operations face zero disruption. Ways to approach Class Composites/Group/Team Photos in Workflow

Scenario A - you’re offering Group photos in packages and a la carte and the group image will be ready at the same time as the individual. Answer: upload the Group image to Workflow and add the subject(s) to the Group so that they’ll see both the individual image and the group image(s) in their online gallery for ordering. ( help center article ) Scenario B - you’re offering Composite photos in packages and a la carte and the Composite image will not be ready at the same time as the individual and will be delivered at a later date. Answer: create a My Design product, 8x10 Group. Add it to the price sheet and inside any packages; do not set Fulfillment because it’s intended for manual fulfillment at a later date. Once the Composite image is ready, run an Orders export to see who purchased the item. Create a group in Workflow that consists of those subjects who need the Composite. Add a Bulk Order for that group ( help center article ) using a 100% off discount code to zero out the cost at checkout. Scenario C - you’re offering Composite photos in packages and a la carte and the Composite image will not be ready at the same time as the individual so you’re using a dummy image placeholder. **Only works if everyone is getting their one primary individual image. If the customer had a selection of individual images online to choose from when ordering, refer to Answer B** Answer A: upload the dummy Composite image to Workflow named something like “Group.jpg”. Add the subject(s) to the Group so that they’ll see both the individual image and the dummy group image in their online gallery for ordering. ( help center article ) Once the Composite image is ready, use the Replace tool ( help center article ) to replace the existing Group.jpg with the new version, also named Group.jpg. Note - this will replace/update the group image seen in the online gallery. To update the image in the Order(s), you will need to navigate to the Orders screen in the job and click Tools > Reassign Images. This will prompt the system to refresh order image assignment, pulling in the primary image for the individual and the first group image associated in the subject record. (in the case of a subject being assigned to more than one group) Once finished, you’re ready to release the orders for fulfillment. Answer B: upload the dummy Composite image to Workflow named something like “Group.jpg”. Add the subject(s) to the Group so that they’ll see both the individual image and the dummy group image in their online gallery for ordering. ( help center article ) Once the Composite image is ready, navigate to the Orders tab inside the job and click to Edit each affected order to select the new Group image. <-- This is to preserve the individual image selection made by the customer, since more than one pose was online for them to choose when ordering. Once finished, you’re ready to release the orders for fulfillment.
