From Progress to Process. Scaling Your Success

Hey y’all! Roger Pack here 🙂 Some of you know me, some of you don’t, which is perfectly fine. Today, you will learn a little bit about me and my passion for helping people to improve their quality of life through process and software implementation. Today, we are going to talk about the importance of clear, accessible processes, which are key to scaling your success and your studio's team's success. It all starts with a source of truth. Steps that you repeat every time there is a picture day. Yes, this can vary from sport to sport and school to school, with unique requests, but that is expected. Having a standard process that allows room for exceptions enables studios to provide special requests without stopping the train. Empowering your studio’s team with a process that they repeat every time. From the order of operations, which software/s steps to take, cut down on time spent looking for answers or asking questions that can cause bottlenecks because of not knowing what steps to take next. Knowing which software to use for what purpose is crucial to keeping picture day and post-picture-day moving. Knowing which order to import/export out, which software and settings to check, and how is crucial to meeting your turnaround time for getting ready to sell images back to your parents. Having these steps laid out in a comprehensible and accessible Google doc, using bullets, and having expectations laid out for your unique scenarios will give you tangiable CTA and onboarding docuementation (Google doc is an easy task) for getting what is in not only in your head onto paper but allowing the team you have built to give feedback to help make the process better. This will remove the IDK bottleneck and give you the freedom to avoid answering basic questions and handling situations. Bonus piece of information: Find a lead person for your department or overall operations so you can focus on scaling your business! Now, I could’ve gone on, but we would be here all day! However, you can join Lucy and me on Wednesday, April 29th @ 12 pm Eastern for a webinar where I'll talk a bit about process and share more of my opinions!

      Onboarding feedback wanted

Hi Everyone, Can we talk ONBOARDING!?!?! I am incredibly interested to hear from both folks who are currently or have recently onboarded to Workflow. Plus any new hires who had to learn the platform at an established studio, along with, of course, any of the people who've been around the block with us and just want to contribute their thoughts on the topic. I would love to gather feedback regarding What did you like about onboarding, what worked well? What needs improving? Was anything missed that you would have wanted included? How do you prefer to learn? Video, reading with photos, watching a webinar, in person, onsite etc Do you prefer AI voices or a real person for video content? How long do you like to spend focused time learning each day/week? What do you think makes learning more fun and enjoyable? (because let's be honest, new things often feel pretty dang hard) Any other random insights you have, I absolutely want to hear them! Picture of Joe my pet kangaroo for attention.
