    Sharing Holiday Backgrounds

Love it or hate it, you can use AI to create backgrounds! I have only used my paid account on ChatGTP, but I'm sure others work as well. Here are some holiday ones I created so you don't have to. DOWNLOAD MY JPGS: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/13daHgZUIVn5Ld1K6TH_Zoc-kiyVeGlHQ?usp=sharing You should be able to use most or all of them in you Fall galleries if you want to add them for November and December Sales. Here is a sample gallery so you can see them without trying too hard. SAMPLE GALLERY : https://shop.imagequix.com/s2135572278/photos/all Photo for attention :)

Taking Workflow on the Road: Captura X Technicare Onsite Workshop

There’s something special about getting the right people in a room together and our recent lab onsite in Edmonton, Alberta, was a perfect example of that. Hosted in partnership with the incredible team at Technicare, the day brought together current clients, industry partners, and potential new clients for a day filled with high energy, plenty of laughs, and meaningful collaboration. One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to have open and honest conversations about some of the concerns and obstacles currently facing the industry. From navigating operational challenges to identifying opportunities for sustainable growth, we discussed practical tools and strategies that can help mitigate risk, improve efficiency, and set studios and labs up for continued success. These conversations are a great reminder that innovation isn’t just about new technology, it’s about understanding what our clients are experiencing and finding better ways to support them. Kalyn Showcased what makes Workflow such a versatile solution and highlight some of the exciting new capabilities our team has put in place. It was a great chance to demonstrate how Workflow can adapt to the evolving needs of labs and studios, while helping teams streamline their processes, manage risk, and create new opportunities for growth. Seeing the conversations and ideas sparked by the demo was one of the best parts of the day! We also had the pleasure of connecting with Kelly from our marketing team, who shared insights into the trends our studios have been seeing and explored different ways businesses can leverage those trends to drive revenue. From understanding changing customer expectations to identifying new opportunities within the market, the conversation highlighted the importance of staying curious, staying connected, and being willing to adapt. A huge thank you to the entire Technicare team for their continued partnership and for everything they did to make this event such a success. Your hospitality, collaboration, and enthusiasm helped create an environment where great conversations could happen, ideas could be shared, and relationships could grow. We truly appreciate the partnership and look forward to everything we’ll continue to accomplish together. And keep your eyes out… you never know when we might be coming to a lab near you! 👀

Captura + Stripe Capital Financing FAQs

What's Captura + Stripe Capital? It's a financing program designed specifically for Captura users. Think of it as flexible funding when you need it most, whether that's growing your business, hiring help, or getting through the slower months. How do you determine who qualifies for an offer? Eligibility is determined based on a combination of factors, including overall sales volume and history with Captura. Eligible US businesses will receive an email and Express Dashboard notification if they have an offer available. Do I have to pay interest? No, you’ll pay one flat fee that doesn’t change. You won’t pay any interest on top of this fee. Will applying for an offer affect my personal credit rating? Applying for financing through Stripe Capital might require a personal credit check under some circumstances, but this credit check doesn’t impact your personal credit score. If a personal credit check is required you’ll be notified during the application process. All offers are determined based on a number of factors, including order volume and your history of orders through Captura. Can I request a different offer amount? When you log into your Stripe Capital + Captura Dashboard, you can use a slider to choose a custom amount (up to the maximum offer amount). The financing fee and payment rate adjust based on the amount you choose. When do I need to pay the flat fee? You’ll automatically pay the flat fee through a percentage of your sales until the total amount financed is repaid. The fee isn’t charged up-front. How does payment work? Payment is collected automatically through a percentage of your [Platform Name] sales as they’re processed which means you pay down more when business is busy and less if things slow down. As long as you meet your minimum payment requirement, what you pay each day adjusts to your sales. What’s a minimum payment? For loans, a minimum payment is the minimum amount that you’re expected to repay every payment period. That period will be determined during underwriting and based on the total term of your loan offer. If your automatic payments don’t meet this minimum, you’ll be required to pay the remaining amount at the end of the period. You can view your minimum payment amount in the Dashboard or in your loan agreement. How do I make my minimum payment? If your payments deducted from sales cover the minimum payment requirement for payment period, no action will be taken. If you’ve not met the minimum payment amount by the end of the payment period, for loans, Stripe will automatically debit your bank account or account balance the balance needed to meet your minimum payment. There’s no action needed on your part. After I accept an offer, how quickly will I get my funds? If your application is approved, you’ll see the funds in your bank account typically in as soon as 2 business days. To make sure that funds are disbursed successfully, you must set a valid bank account as your primary payout method. Can I have my Capital funds paid out to a card? We currently don’t support disbursal of funds to a card. To make sure that funds are disbursed successfully, you must set a valid bank account as your primary payout method. What happens when my offer expires? Each offer is available for 30 days. After that point, your business will automatically be re-evaluated to see if you’re eligible for an additional offer. Can I repay my financing early? Yes, you can make additional payments or pay the total amount financed in full at any point by clicking the ‘Make Payment’ button in your Dashboard. There are no additional fees for early payment. Will repaying early qualify me for a new offer? After you repay the total amount financed, we’ll automatically evaluate you for a new offer. Repaying early doesn’t automatically qualify you for a new offer. How should I report these funds on my taxes? Tax reporting is often dependent on your specific situation, so we encourage you to talk with a tax advisor to ensure appropriate accounting. In general, Stripe Capital funds wouldn’t be considered taxable income at the time of receipt, and the amounts withheld to satisfy your obligations aren’t tax deductible. Who can I contact to learn more about the Stripe Capital program? If you have additional questions about how our financing program through Stripe Capital works, you can contact our partners at capital+support@stripe.com . For additional questions not listed on here, please contact capital+support@stripe.com .

    Archiving Galleries

How is everyone handling archiving galleries? Particularly in regards to customer support after the images are archived. We offer past years images at a higher price but we want customers to feel the urgency to buy it now and not wait. We would like for the galleries to have an "unlock/unarchive fee" but we also want to be able to place orders.

    Wording for a sign

Get your creative juices flowing this holiday weekend! I need some help for wording on a sign in our studio. We've had an uptick in issues with parents taking pictures of their child - and of the Workflow screen during Capture - when they accompany their seniors to the senior photo session. Part of it is probably our fault, since we've really encouraged parents to attend as part of capturing the memories of the senior year. Sessions are scheduled, and roughly a quarter to a third have a parent along. We have one that says: "Please: No cell phones during Senior Yearbook Session." Obviously that isn't working. In my mind I'd like for the sign to say: "Respect that this is an art form, stop stealing photos, and put your #$*% cell phone away!" So probably somewhere in between - thoughts?!

Picture day is done. Parents are busy. Life gets in the way and a full cart gets left behind. Abandon cart campaigns catch your hottest potential customers right when they're most likely to buy and bring them back to complete their order. They are our highest-converting email trigger type, and the numbers show it: 63% open rate 12% click-through rate 3%+ conversion rate $2+ revenue per email sent Studios using abandon cart are also seeing overall marketing lift: open rates up 2.6% and CTR 20% higher compared to studios not using it. Now we've made it even easier to drive revenue with auto-attach abandon cart. Instead of manually attaching a campaign to every job, auto-attach does it for you. Every new job is automatically connected to your abandon cart campaign the moment it's created. Whether you use our pre-built campaign or bring your own, it runs in the background and keeps revenue coming in all season long. No manual sends. No following up. If you're not already running auto-attached abandon carts reach out to our marketing team today to get set up. Are you currently running abandon cart campaigns? We'd love to hear what's working for your studio, whether it's timing, subject lines, or messaging. Drop your insights below.

Ways to approach Class Composites/Group/Team Photos in Workflow

Scenario A - you’re offering Group photos in packages and a la carte and the group image will be ready at the same time as the individual. Answer: upload the Group image to Workflow and add the subject(s) to the Group so that they’ll see both the individual image and the group image(s) in their online gallery for ordering. ( help center article ) Scenario B - you’re offering Composite photos in packages and a la carte and the Composite image will not be ready at the same time as the individual and will be delivered at a later date. Answer: create a My Design product, 8x10 Group. Add it to the price sheet and inside any packages; do not set Fulfillment because it’s intended for manual fulfillment at a later date.  Once the Composite image is ready, run an Orders export to see who purchased the item. Create a group in Workflow that consists of those subjects who need the Composite. Add a Bulk Order for that group ( help center article ) using a 100% off discount code to zero out the cost at checkout. Scenario C - you’re offering Composite photos in packages and a la carte and the Composite image will not be ready at the same time as the individual so you’re using a dummy image placeholder. **Only works if everyone is getting their one primary individual image. If the customer had a selection of individual images online to choose from when ordering, refer to Answer B** Answer A: upload the dummy Composite image to Workflow named something like “Group.jpg”. Add the subject(s) to the Group so that they’ll see both the individual image and the dummy group image in their online gallery for ordering. ( help center article ) Once the Composite image is ready, use the Replace tool ( help center article ) to replace the existing Group.jpg with the new version, also named Group.jpg. Note - this will replace/update the group image seen in the online gallery. To update the image in the Order(s), you will need to navigate to the Orders screen in the job and click Tools > Reassign Images. This will prompt the system to refresh order image assignment, pulling in the primary image for the individual and the first group image associated in the subject record. (in the case of a subject being assigned to more than one group) Once finished, you’re ready to release the orders for fulfillment. Answer B: upload the dummy Composite image to Workflow named something like “Group.jpg”. Add the subject(s) to the Group so that they’ll see both the individual image and the dummy group image in their online gallery for ordering. ( help center article ) Once the Composite image is ready, navigate to the Orders tab inside the job and click to Edit each affected order to select the new Group image. <-- This is to preserve the individual image selection made by the customer, since more than one pose was online for them to choose when ordering. Once finished, you’re ready to release the orders for fulfillment.

This is genius! It came across my feed this morning. Having a couple of these for cap and gown portraits would make that extra pose possible in many cases where it is not. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DWUY3H_jhmA/?igsh=MWN0dzVxdDR1dzB6MQ==

After jumping on the Marketing session this afternoon, I realize I've been a bit lazy with my package naming for schools. What's everyone naming their packages to help parents with making their choices?
