Product designer - Removed images reappear when updating proof | Technical Help & Troubleshooting

I have this come up very often. Once a composite is approved and I go to finalize, download and update the proof, the images I had removed (IE silhouettes of not pictures students) are back on the composite, making me nervous that they appeared on my final download. I always have to go back and check that it downloaded correctly. I don't understand why these trashed images reappear on the composite.
