Background Sets Should Be Separate from Price Sheets
Summary: Becca Boone suggests that background sets should be tied to individual jobs rather than price sheets to reduce repetitive work in sports photography. They believe that having separate background sets for each sport while maintaining a single price sheet would streamline updates and make management more flexible. Lauren Pinson agrees, noting that this change would also benefit school photography by allowing customization for different districts and sports.
I really wish background sets were tied to individual jobs rather than price sheets.
For sports photography, every sport may need a completely different selection of background options, even though the pricing and products are exactly the same. Right now, the only way to offer different backgrounds for football, basketball, soccer, baseball, etc. is to create a separate copy of the same price sheet for every sport.
That creates a lot of unnecessary repetitive work. Any time I need to change a price, add or remove a product, update a package, or make another adjustment to the price sheet, I then have to make that exact same change across every single sport-specific copy.
Ideally, I would love to maintain ONE sports price sheet and then select which background set is available on a job-by-job basis.
Pricing/products = Price Sheet
Background options = Job
This would make background management much more flexible and eliminate a huge amount of tedious duplicate work, especially for photographers handling multiple sports, schools, teams, or other volume jobs.

·1 month agoAgreed! Not just for sports but for schools too. If background sets were separate we could have sets for separate schools districts allowing us to customize backgrounds for schools and their corresponding sports too.

·1 month agoGood afternoon! These are great ideas. We are happy to get this over to the team as a feature request. I know there are many studios that would benefit from this!
