Best Practices for the Online Shop
Hello Captura Community!
We’ve had a lot of feedback from customers that they are finding the online shop difficult to navigate or confusing. Hoping to get some best practices from fellow teams on what you have found successful when creating your shops/price sheets to make it easy to navigate and increase sales! Any tips??

·1 week agoBuying images on mobile is genuinely harder.
I can see the bigger issue that I have just seen is that when you click on an image...it goes right to the featured packages vs. the first packages.
Also clicking on the categories of images is a bit more challenging as well.

I know the data shows that most orders are completed on a mobile BUT I personally always buy my childs photos on a desk top.

Admin3 weeks agoHi Alicja, a well-categorized price sheet that clearly states where a customer can find the different types of items, i.e., special locked items, packages, and individual items.
Initially having a focus on prints and digitals, later updating the price sheet to include more options like specialty items, etc.
Not making an overabundance of options or any more duplicates than needed also helps.
Using options like free shipping threshold or coupon codes as a way to keep the cart simplified, instead of making duplicate categories to create sales prices, can also help.
If you want us to take a look at a specific price sheet for feedback, let us know, and we can put aside a bit of time to review it for you.

OP2 weeks agoHi Tearah! This is great feedback! We are in the midst of re-doing and streamlining price sheets, but I would love it if I could send you a couple once we are done, or at least feel like we've got a good template for your feedback and review. Thanks so much!

·3 weeks agoOurs are mostly running into confusion when using the mobile version. Once I have them switch to the computer it's much easier and intuitive, I think. A lot of the time they don't realize that they have to scroll to select backgrounds and we end up with orders that have the first background selected, even though they wanted to select a different one.

OP2 weeks agoHi Becca! We have the same issues, great point about the mobile vs desktop version! we will have to make that suggestion to our customers! Im thinking we need to just limit the backgrounds if anything, but like you, the default seems to be the one most ordered. Thanks for your insights!

I’d love to learn more about what your customers are finding difficult about the online shop. Are there any specific pain points or areas you could share where they’re running into challenges? Happy to also set up a call from here as well!
