Sorted Print Products (IDs Especially)
Summary: Lucy Binns highlights the challenges faced when printing a large volume of ID cards for schools, emphasizing the need for an efficient sorting process. Currently, the task requires manual filtering of subjects one grade or teacher at a time, followed by rendering images into labeled folders. This method is time-consuming, especially for larger schools, and affects the quick turnaround of IDs. Lucy Binns suggests an improvement in the print function to automatically sort products into folders based on selected settings to streamline the process.
When printing an entire schools-worth of ID cards, the expectation is that we provide these to the school sorted (usually by grade or teacher). Currently, we have to filter Subjects one grade/teacher at a time, render the jpgs into a grade/teacher-labeled folder that we're creating, and then rinse and repeat for all grades/teachers. It's incredibly time-consuming for large schools, and seriously impacts our ability get IDs turned around quickly.
Ideally, we would like the Print function to have the option to sort the products into folders for us, based on sort settings that we select when we go to print.
